Perfect forfire fighters, emergency responseand welders, these tri-cut flame-resistant,PIP® 20% Nomex®/80% Lenzing FR Hoods providespecialized protectionfor the face, neck and head. Highest quality knitted “sock” style hoods provide protection from flash fire hazards with added 2-ply construction for thermal insulation in cold weather conditions.

When exposed to intense heat, Nomex® carbonizes and thickens to increase the protective barrier between the heat source and the skin while remaining supple and flexible until cooled. Nomex® is long lasting and lasts three times onger than most standard fabrics while Lenzing FR® is a specialty viscose fiber with unique thermal properties. When combined, these flame resistant balaclavas offer excellent wear, breathablity, comfort, durability and will not wash out.

Fabric meets OSHA requirements for flame resistance andgarments provide protection against clothing ignition, sustained flame spreadand do not melt or drip. The material resists ignition, self-extinguishes and the FR properties last for the wearable life of the garment.Made in USA.
