Perfect for fire fighters, race car drivers, emergency response, chemcial plants and welders, these tri-cut flame-resistant,PIP® 84% Carbon/16% Technora® FR Hoods provide protection for the face, neck and head. Highest quality knitted “sock” style hoods provide protection from flash fire hazards with added 2-ply construction for thermal insulation in cold weather conditions.

Technora®增加强度、耐久性和帮助呼!d retain its shape when laundered. Strong and light: weight for weight, Technora® is 8 times stronger than steel and 3 times stronger than fiberglass, polyester or nylon yarns. Shows little loss of strength even during repeated abrasion, flexing and stretching and has low thermal shrinkage, excellent dimensional stability. Thermal decomposition threshold of 932ºF, so Technora® can be used at 392ºF for long periods. At 482ºF, it maintains more than half of its room temperature tensile strength. Highly resistant to acids, alkalis and organic solvents and not vulnerable to damage caused by steam or sea water. Carbon Fiber is light weight and provides excellent fire resistance.

Fabric meets OSHA requirements for flame resistance and garments provide protection against clothing ignition, sustained flame spread and do not melt or drip. The material resists ignition, self-extinguishes and the FR properties last for the wearable life of the garment. Meets NFPA 1971 requirements.
